Using Radar Guns to Make New Speed Limits

In Palm Springs, California, traffic studies were held monitoring the driving habits of motorists during off-peak hours using police radar guns.  Unimpeded traffic would travel at a certain speed, giving light to the most efficient speed limit.  Traffic flow would remain normal with minimal clusters.  Laser radar guns will be used in the future to enforce the new limits, as well as the presence of new street speed limit signs.
