Radar Detectors (part2)
Today I continue my section on radar detectors. So, this small electronic device picks up the radar gun's signal. The use of a radar detector is not legal in all states. For example, in a passenger vehicle it is legal in all states, except for Virginia, Washington DC., and military bases. Commercial vehicles less than 10,000 pounds can use radar detectors. As for Canada, only 3 provinces allow to use these devices. Today I also would like to mention about Laser Jammers and Radar Jammers which are illegal in California, Colorado, Minnesota, Nebraska, Utah, Oklahoma, Virginia, Illinois, and Washington DC. But most drivers keep the anti-radar device attached to the visor and other inconspicuous areas. A very basic police radar gun sends out a radio signal at a specific frequency. The Radar Gun signal bounces off a car's body and returns to the radar gun. The signal moves at a constant speed and a built-in computer calculates the time it takes for a signal to return. And of course, closer the object, the frequency becomes higher. And one more thing, Police do not have to stay stationary to detect a speeding car with a radar gun.
